A reminder:
Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed this coming Saturday night. It’s “fall back” time again, and you wouldn’t want to show up an hour early for Sunday School, would you?
Blessings in Christ,
David

Good morning, or afternoon, or evening…
Several of us went door to door in Crossway’s immediate neighborhood yesterday. We wanted to let people know who we are and that we’re there for them if need be. Everyone we met was friendly and seemed happy to meet us.
Our study on the holiness of God continues on Sunday evenings. We’re using R.C. Sproul’s study and it’s a good one.
Our study through Revelation is also continuing on Wednesday evenings. This Wednesday we’ll be looking at chapter 13 and the two beasts.
Our hymn books have come in and sister Robin is stepping up to the challenge of learning how to play many of them. We actually have music! I’m thankful and excited to see the work of God in your life Robin!
Our kids continue to be fed appropriately sized pieces of “meat” in sister Magaly’s Sunday evening study. Such little theologians she’s making! Magaly, I’m sure that God is doing/will do great things for His Name through your efforts.
Sunday School is heading toward the finish of our all ages study of the Ten Commandments – but don’t let that stop you from coming if you haven’t already. And the next study should be just as good – it’s going to be on prayer.
Sister Rhonda’s husband, Bob, built a beautiful pulpit for the church. It was such a surprise and a real blessing.
Sister Barbara put together some activity bags for those little ones who might have trouble sitting still during the service. Thank you for your willingness to serve Christ!
And it just seems like everyone, from the oldest to the youngest, is just pitching in wherever needed and doing whatever needs doing. It is such a good thing when we meet together. I’m excited to see how God is building this local body.
Blessings in Christ,
David

Brothers and sisters,
Our first outreach effort as a church is coming up. Here’s an overview:
When it is:
This Saturday, October 11th, from 4PM to 8PM. We have to be at the fountain across from Tic-Toc Ice Cream in Loudon at 3PM so that we can assigned a spot to set up our tent.
Where it’s going to be:
At the Loudon Street Festival in downtown Loudon. Again, we won’t know exactly where we’ll be until that afternoon. Just look for brother Jeremy’s canopy tent with its new green top.
What we’re doing:
Our plan is to set up our canopy tent with a big banner across the front asking, “How can we pray for you?” We’re going to have several notebooks for people to write down their prayer requests so that we, as a church, can pray for them later. Also, if they’d like, they may leave a contact number, email, etc., so that we can follow-up with their prayer concern(s). Of course, we’ll pray with them then and there too if they’d like. We’re also going to give away bottles of water and ESV New Testaments and several other resources to all who are interested.
What we need:
Prayer! There’s going to be a lot of people there, Lord willing. Please pray that God is glorified through our efforts to reach our community. There are so many hurting, lost, broken people all around us. May God use us to shine His Light to those walking in darkness.
And we need you – if you’re able to be there. To meet, talk, and pray with whomever the Lord brings our way. I hope you can join us, even for a little while.
Blessings in Christ,
David
